How to request deletion of your data
Last updated: 4 novembre 2026
This page explains how to have personal data processed by SincroLead deleted. It applies both to people who use the app and to people who submitted a lead form on Facebook or Instagram.
First: which of the two are you?
⚠️ The difference changes who you should write to. It is worth reading.
Case A — You filled in a lead form on Facebook or Instagram
You saw a business's ad, left your name and phone number, and now you no longer want that business to contact you.
Your data belongs to that business, not to us. SincroLead is only the tool the business uses to receive it: we hold it on their behalf and never use it for any purpose of our own.
You can still write to us: we will identify the business, forward your request, and tell you we have done so. See "How to do it" below.
Case B — You have a SincroLead account
You are an administrator or an agent of a business that uses the app, and you want to delete your account or your business's data.
Here we are your direct counterpart.
How to do it
1. Send an email
To: contact@sincrolead.it
Subject: Data deletion request
2. Include in the message
| if you are in Case A | if you are in Case B |
|---|---|
| The name of the business, Facebook Page or Instagram profile behind the ad, if you remember it | The email address of your account |
| The email address or the phone number you entered in the form | Whether you want to delete only your user or the whole business and its data |
| Roughly when it happened |
⚠️ Write from the same email you used in the form or to register, if you can. It is the fastest way for us to verify it is you. If that is not possible, we will ask for another identifying detail — this is not red tape: deleting someone's data at a stranger's request would itself be a breach.
3. What happens next
| when | what |
|---|---|
| Within 3 working days | we confirm we received the request and give you a reference number |
| Within 30 days | the request is completed, and we write to tell you |
If the request is complex, the deadline may extend to 90 days: in that case we tell you beforehand and explain why, as Article 12 GDPR requires.
What gets deleted
| data | outcome |
|---|---|
| Name, email, phone and all form answers | deleted |
| Notes and activity recorded against the contact | deleted |
| User account and profile data | deleted |
| Facebook Page access tokens | revoked and deleted |
What remains, and why
This is not a loophole: these are cases where the law requires us to keep records.
| data | why it remains | for how long |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices and accounting records | tax and civil law obligation | 10 years |
| Activity log (who did what) | security, incident reconstruction | 24 months |
| Record of the deletion request itself | to prove it was carried out | 24 months |
The activity log keeps the operation, not the content of the deleted data.
If you would rather do it yourself
Some things you can do without asking anyone.
Remove SincroLead's access to your Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts
If you are a customer and you only want to disconnect, without deleting the account:
- In SincroLead: Integrations → the disconnect button on the connection.
- Or directly on Facebook: Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites → select SincroLead → Remove.
When you remove the app on Facebook, Facebook sends us a deletion request: we disconnect every connection you authorised and delete its access token, and Facebook shows you a confirmation code with a page where you can check the status of the request.
⚠️ Removing the app on Facebook stops new leads from arriving, but does not delete leads already received: for those, use the request procedure above.
Delete a single contact from the app
If you are an administrator, open the lead → Personal data box → Erase data,
write the reason (for example "request by email of 28 October") and type CANCELLA to
confirm. Name, contact details, answers and the text of notes and appointments are
deleted for good; the lead remains as an anonymous number in the statistics, and the
activity log records who did it, when and why. From the same box you can export the
lead's data (JSON or CSV) to answer an access request.
